This explains what personal information Breakworks collects when you use breakworks.co.uk, why, and what we do with it. We take no payments before we open. Questions: hello@breakworks.co.uk.

Who we are

Breakworks is a rage room business opening in Brighton. We are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect and why

Early-access list	Name, email, optional mobile, and your answers about the session, group size, occasion and timing. Used to tell you when we open, send your discount code, and plan what we build. Lawful basis: taking steps you've asked for before a contract, and our legitimate interest in validating the business.
Registering interest	Name, email, optional mobile, the session or custom build you chose and when you'd come. Used to plan what we open with and to tell you when it's bookable. Lawful basis: taking steps you've asked for before a contract.
Event enquiries	Name, company, email, phone, the event type, date, headcount, budget and what you need. Used to reply with a plan and a price. Lawful basis: taking steps you've asked for before a contract.
Contact form	Name, email, optional phone and your message. Used to reply. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
Marketing	If you tick the box, we'll email you about opening dates, offers and new rooms. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Lawful basis: consent.
Technical data	Standard server logs: IP address, pages requested, browser type and time. Used for security and to keep the site working. We don't run advertising trackers at present; if we add analytics or ad conversion tracking we'll update this page and ask for consent where required.

Cookies and local storage

We don't set tracking cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage for one thing: if a form fails to reach us, a copy is kept in your browser so nothing is lost. We take no payments on the site before opening, so there are no payment-provider cookies.

Who we share it with

Our hosting and email providers — host the site, store signup records and deliver our email. Data is held in the UK or EU.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Early-access and enquiry records: until 12 months after we open, or until you ask us to delete them.
Event enquiry records: until 12 months after the event date, or until you ask us to delete them.
Server logs: 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Email hello@breakworks.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
